Summer 2020

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I’m already registered for camp? Will I get a refund?

We will be issuing full refunds and you’ll receive an email within the next 1-2 days to confirm your refund has been issued. At that point, it will take 5-7 business days for your funds to be available for use.

What if I gave to support camp scholarships?

During our I Love This Place offering in December 2019, we took an offering for The Bridge House, a nonprofit we are launching this year and our next generation camps. Your gifts are still being used in those ways. You can look here to see updates of The Bridge House. The money that was given to our next generation will still be used either for events we plan later in 2020 or ATOMA & camps in 2021.

Why did you cancel camps?

Our camps take almost a year to plan. We are concerned about several things. First, experts do not know how long our country will be struggling with the spread of COVID-19. The last thing we want to happen is for sickness to spread during a time that is meant for community. Secondly, even if it were to be safe, there is no way for us to know that now, when planning and expenses would be a significant undertaking. Because we want to be wise with our financial resources, we want to continue doing ministry in a way that everyone can afford in times of crisis.

What if the ban is lifted? Why can’t we still go to camp? Isn’t this premature?

We know your students love camp. We do too! And while this feels premature, all of our expenses could be fruitless if it’s not safe to go to camp. We must be wise stewards of the money given for our camps and use them when we know it will be safer for our children and students.

Are you going to plan another event?

Our staff is working hard to think outside the box on events we can plan in 2020 and 2021! We will let you know as soon as we are cleared for a gathering and have an event planned!

What if I’m a senior and this is my last year to attend camp?

We know this has been a tough few months for you as you finish up high school. On the bright side, you’re probably not struggling with senioritis! We hope to be able to celebrate your senior year as soon as it’s safe. Unfortunately, we’ve had to make the tough decision to cancel all camps in the summer of 2020 because of where our country is. We’re doing our best to plan other events as soon as we can.

Who do I contact if I have more questions?
